Treatment Modalities
*(Note: I am no longer providing straight protocol-EMDR therapy or offering EMDR as an adjunct to those who are in other concurrent therapy).
This is an 8 week trauma-informed and mindfulness-based course, which guides participants towards cultivating greater authenticity and authentic expression in their lives. The program meets weekly, on Zoom, for about 1.5 hours.
The course content supports participants in developing and strengthening skills in mindfulness, self-compassion, and somatic (body) awareness. Drawing upon these skills, we will explore the experience of authentic connection, identify what supports it and what stifles it, learn to work with those challenges, and practice being in the experience of authentic connection.
This program is for anyone struggling with authenticity in their relationships or with their sense of knowing their "true self". It is for anyone who has had difficulty identifying and expressing their needs and emotions. It is for anyone who feels disconnected from themselves or others in their lives. It is for those who often feel unsatisfied or "stuck". And it will support those who tend to look outside of themselves for their answers, or who struggle to trust themselves to decide what is right for them.
The program integrates meditation, reflective writing exercises, self-compassion practices, and small group reflections.

This is an 8 week course that will teach you skills in Mindfulness and Self-Compassion. Mindfulness allows us to bring purposeful and non-judgmental awareness to our present moment experiences. Self-Compassion is the act of holding whatever arises in that awareness with kindness and sincere care...to orient towards ourselves and our own suffering as we would a dear friend.
As we develop skills in Mindfulness and Self-Compassion, we develop our ability to hold our suffering with true care. It is from a place of true care that meaningful action often arises.
Self-compassion allows us to motivate ourselves with encouragement, set needed boundaries, forgive ourselves when needed, face and befriend our shortcomings, care for others while caring for self, and live more authentically.
